SUBJECT:  Initiatives in Trade Policy 2009-10

The Government of Pakistan has announced a number of initiatives in Trade Policy 2009-10 to facilitate the exporters to increase the exports from Pakistan on sustainable basis. In this context, TDAP has issued public notices of the following initiatives and have been published in the major daily newspapers. • Assistance for Opening Exporters Offices Abroad
• Assistance for Opening Retail Sales Outlets Abroad
• Establishment of cold storage and cool chain Processes for horticulture Products
• Compliance Certification
• Support on export of Processed Food
• Warehousing Scheme
• Freight Subsidy on Live Seafood
• 50% subsidy on Pharmaceutical Product Registration in foreign countries
• facilitation for pharmaceutical Export-Subsidy on Medical Representative Salary
• 50% subsidy on Bio-Equivalence/ Bio-Availability studies on the Pharmaceutical products
• Installation of flaying machines in Abattoirs/ Slaughterhouses operated by Local Government.
