Subject: ADVANCE TAX LIABILITY UNDER SECTION 147 OF THE INCOME TAX ORDINANCE, 2001

 

Dear Members,

 

It has been brought to our attention that taxpayers are receiving notices/intimations from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) regarding their liability to pay Advance Tax under Section 147 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 for the current quarter.

 

Members who have received such notices/intimations are requested to forward a copy to PHMA at tsc@phmaonline.com for review and necessary action.

 

PHMA will review the notices and prepare an appropriate response through its Legal Consultant.

 

Members are requested to submit their notices to PHMA no later than 5:00 p.m. on 1st October 2026 to enable timely action.
