Subject: PERFORMANCE BASED REBATE ON
INCREMENTAL EXPORTS (PRIE) – EFFECTIVE FROM 1 JULY 2026
Dear Members,
Through the
continuous efforts and advocacy of the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers &
Exporters Association (PHMA) for the introduction of an incentive mechanism to
encourage export growth and reward better export performance, the Government of
Pakistan has introduced the Performance Based Rebate on Incremental Exports
(PRIE) scheme, effective from 1 July 2026.
The scheme
aims to incentivize exporters achieving growth in their exports and provide a
rebate on incremental export performance, subject to the prescribed eligibility
criteria and mechanism.
The State
Bank of Pakistan, through its Circular No. 05 of 2026 dated 24 August 2026, has
issued the implementation mechanism for the scheme.
Eligibility & Rebate
1.
Export growth of up to 10% over the preceding fiscal
year's exports:
Rebate: 1% of the incremental export value achieved during the year.
2.
Export growth exceeding 10% over the preceding fiscal
year's exports:
Rebate: 2% of the incremental export value achieved during the year.
3.
Exporters showing no annual export growth over the
preceding fiscal year shall not be eligible to avail the benefit under the
scheme.
Payment Mechanism
The State
Bank of Pakistan Circular No. 05 of 2026, along with the relevant Annexure-I
(Implementation Mechanism of PRIE) and Annexure-II (Claim Form for Submission
of Rebate Request under PRIE), is attached herewith for the information,
guidance and necessary action of members.
PHMA
members are advised to carefully review the scheme and coordinate with their
respective banks regarding the procedure, documentation and submission of
rebate claims. In case of any query or if further information or clarification
is required, members may contact PHMA for necessary guidance and assistance.
PHMA will
continue its efforts and advocacy for policies and incentives aimed at
promoting the growth and competitiveness of Pakistan's value-added textile and
knitwear exports.
