ADVISORY REGARDING GOODS TRANSPORT MOVEMENT SAFETY MEASURES

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PHMA) in view of recent reporting accidents by heavy goods transportation vehicles causing precious loss of human lives in Karachi and elsewhere strongly advise member industries to ensure while hiring transportations for safety of human lives as well as valuable goods for their transportation/ movement of goods as follows:

? Arrange goods transport from registered goods transport companies having nice reputation
? While arranging any heavy vehicle for goods transportation/movement/ transfers, please ask for copy of valid driving license of the driver responsible to transport your goods.
? Also demand copy of vehicle fitness certificate of the vehicle hired for transportation of your goods and also inspect the vehicle before vehicle to verify it also appears to be fit.

Your demand for above is highly recommended in promoting safer transport practices and encouragement to transporters to comply with the requirements as per law and rules.
