Delays in Payments of Sales Tax Refund processing through the FASTER System

It has come to our attention that payments for sales tax returns are consistently delayed beyond the RPO issue date. The refund claim under the ?FASTER? module is required to be processed within 72 hours of submission of a claim, for onward advice to the respective bank for credit into the notified account of the claimant under the Sales Tax Rules 2006.

To address this delay against the rules and to facilitate member exports for prompt release of payments, the Association urgently requires data since July 2019 in a specific format to escalate the matter to the Federal Tax Ombudsman.
