INCONVENIENCE/ HARDSHIPS CAUSED TO MEMBERS DUE TO NON-OPENING OF LCs

& CUSTOMS DEMAND OF PERMISSION FROM SBP TO IMPORT MINOR ACCESSORIES

 

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PHMA) has learned that the Banks are not opening LCs for machinery and industrial materials being imported for industrial use. Similarly, minor accessories like barcodes and labels are sent free of charge by buyers are being stopped by Customs marking the same as "negative commodity" and demanding permission of SBP. Any member facing such inconvenience and hardship may immediately contact the Association along with evidence so the said matters may be taken up with concerned, collectively.

 

Furthermore, Members who have already applied for Permission from SBP and still not received any response/approval are advised to provide the details to PHMA as per following format:
