Zero Rating of Sales Tax on Textile Machinery

With the best efforts of the Association and letter written to Chairperson, FBR as well as Press Statement issued on the subject matter, FBR vide its self-explanatory letter Ref. C.NO.1(140)C(RGST)/2011/87970-R dated 18th July, 2018 requested to the Collectors Appraisement that textile machinery qualifying for zero-rating of sales tax under SRO 36(I)/2017 dated 23.01.2017 may be cleared provisionally under section 81 of the Customs Act, 1969 by allowing zero-rating of sales tax on such imports.
