TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION

EXPORTERS EYEING OPTION OF SHIFTING FOR BETTER PROSPECTS.

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association had constituted a Committee to work out strategy for all its leading and prominent member exporters who have been fed up with non-governance in our country causing not only the worst ever energy crisis, frequent load shedding, frequent increase in electricity; gas and water tariff; most serious deteriorating law and order situation; frequent strikes day in and day out; severest ever liquidity crunch due to huge amount of exporters' outstanding sales tax; custom rebate;  DLTL claims; high costs of doing business in Pakistan and to crown this all the recent Transporters' Strike continuing since almost 7 days has sounded a death knell for the exporters. All this is just because of the incumbent government's apathy and complete lack of dynamism towards exports which is the lifeline and backbone of our nation's economy in these most crucial times when our country has become burdened with debts and sorely needs foreign exchange for the nation.

It is a great irony that neither the Federal Government nor the Provincial Government is bothered at all about such a grave situation.

As the things have gone out of hand, it is strongly and repeatedly felt by the exporters that the Government just does not care at all for boosting of exports of the nation and enhancing foreign exchange for the nation.

Fed up with all this, The PHMA Committee for Shifting of Export Oriented Industries led by Mr. M. Jawed Bilwani, Chairman, Pakistan Apparel Forum, on the exporters demand, has speeded up its assignment and efforts and is corresponding and negotiating with those countries who have been offering us, under their investment policy, and who have much better business and export friendly policies and are offering most attractive incentives to their foreign investors as well as permanent citizenship. Our member exporters, also most disappointed and burdened with one adverse factor after another are revving up and making all plans to shift their business to such countries where they can work and expand their business with peace of mind and with honour.

In view of the above all such member exporters interested in our above initiative may please send their reply in affirmative to the Association at the soonest.

Thanks and Best regards,

Yunus Bin Aiyoob
