GOOD NEWS – EDS abolished, EDF to be restructured as exporters led body

PM decision in high level meeting held today 24 ^th November 2025

at PM House, Islamabad

· Thank you, Mr Prime Minister for abolishing EDS immediately in high level meeting with exporters in presence of Federal Ministers and high officials held today 24th November 2025 at PM House, Islamabad.

· PM has also directed to immediately bring reforms and restructuring of EDF making it a private led entity registered under section 42 of Companies Act 2017, no funding from EDF to TDAP and other PSDP projects onwards.

· Last 5 years audit of EDF will be done to check spending on non-export and export sectors and impact on exports development.

· PM also noted to lower taxation burden on exporters to make them competitive and viable.

· Further, EDF will fund onwards for sole purpose of export development only.

· KCCI and PHMA had represented and given submission to PM in meeting held today at PM House Islamabad.
