SUSTAINABLE TERMS OF TRADE INITIATIVE (STTI) SURVEY FORM AND DATA COLLECTION

Dear Member,

Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association is inviting you to participate in a survey conducted by the Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative (STTI) that evaluates buyers’ adherence to commercial compliance. Commercial compliance is defined as ‘purchasing practices that do not cause obvious and avoidable harm to manufacturers’.

The Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative is a unique, manufacturer-led initiative set up by the STAR Network of nine Asian producer associations, Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & exporters Association is a founding member], and supported by GIZ-FABRIC, the International Apparel Federation, and Better Buying Institute. Its aim is to create fairer purchasing practices in the industry, and a more balanced relationship between manufacturers and buyers.

Phase 1 of STTI established a number of key recommendations for improved purchasing practices, based on the input gathered from global textile and garment manufacturers and industry associations.

Now, in Phase 2, we are inviting you to evaluate each of your buyers’ commercial compliance in relation to these recommendations. With this baseline data, the industry associations participating in STTI will be able to identify key areas of non-compliance, and to better understand which interventions and research are most needed to improve commercial compliance across the industry.

The survey will be conducted by Better Buying Institute, whose well established and secured operating procedures allow manufacturers to anonymously rate the purchasing practices of the customers that buy their products. Your responses will be grouped with those from other suppliers, and your anonymity maintained at all times. Better Buying Institute will publish a report of the findings early in 2022, which will be shared with you in full, and which will form the basis of dialogue with brands and MSIs, in order to accelerate change in buyers’ purchasing practices.

Please follow this link to complete the survey: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6620739/STTI-GWG-Phase-2-Baseline-Survey, starting with the buyer that accounts for the largest percentage of your business, then proceeding to other buyers with whom you have an active business relationship.

Completing the survey takes less than 10 minutes. Please complete the survey as soon as possible; the deadline to submit the survey is January 7th.

We thank you in advance for completing the survey and ensuring the voices of our members are represented in the STTI.

Sincerely,

PHMA
